Look to your age groups schedule when you return to NorWesters.
NorWesters Track and Field Club endeavours to develop the highest proficiency in amateur track and field, cross country, and road racing events for member athletes of all ages and levels of ability.
Full athletic membership fee is based on the calendar year and includes membership in B.C. Athletics. Athletes nineteen years and older and parents or guardians of younger athletes are voting members of the Club. Membership is also available to officials, coaches and other supporters. Membership includes insurance and the usual rights and privileges of membership. Special seasonal, and short term memberships are available for specific programs run by the club.
Athletes will be accepted into the Club if they turn six years of age during the current year. While a member of NorWesters Track and Field Club, an athlete will abide by the policies and procedures applicable to membership as governed by B.C. Athletics. Training with another club for any reason must be approved by the Board of Directors. This would normally only occur when NorWesters does not have a specialized coach in the athlete’s event.
Qualifying athletes may apply to the Board for financial support for travel to one Nationals competition per calendar year. Financial support, to a maximum of $500, is dependent on club finances and athlete fundraising each year. The $500 will include the grant that the club applies for from the City and Districts. Similarly, BC Team fees for one Nationals competition will be paid to a maximum of $500 , also to include grant.
